Not at all. We've worked with clients all over the US. We love being able to shake hands or have a cup of coffee with our clients, but if that is a physical impossibility - well, then Skype video or GoToMeeting will have to do.
Please know that we are not motivated by taking advantage of people. We are motivated by giving you what you need. If we ask you about a budget, it's because we want to know how to best strategize on completing your project. It's no secret that websites can run between $2,000 and $200,000 today. However, depending on what you want to spend and what you need, it will determine how we achieve your goals.
Our primary hours for client contact are Monday - Friday, 9:00 to 5:00. We occasionally catch up on voicemails and emails after hours as needed, so you may receive contact from us outside of those normal hours. Please see our contact page for information.
Welcome to 2010! We come across more and more people who are just now looking for a web presence for their business, or to replace one that hasn't been updated in half a decade. We don't expect our clients to know any more about how websites work than they expect us to know how the details of their business. We would love to hear about what you need your site to do, how you want it to look, and who will be using it. We can then propose our ideas based on what will suite you best. We don't charge a penny for getting to know you and what you want and then giving you a proposal.
Hoooraaaaaaaaayyy! That must mean you have big plans for it! We are happy to work as quickly as we can to help you achieve your goals. However, we don't want to shortcut the process of strategy, planning and quality. If you want a temporary page up with a contact form and something notifying customers that your site is under construction, we can do that as a bandaid fix. Depending on your situation, we can also apply a rush charge for uber-speedy execution (which will be determined on a case by case basis). During all projects, we work as quickly as we can in tandem with our clients getting us materials, feedback and other deliverables from their end in a quick fashion.
We recognize how common it is for people to use the search engine and be accustomed to finding exactly what they need. However, search engine ranking is a very detailed combination of many factors including site age, type of content, number of comparable sites, amount of regularly updated material, etc. The popularity of Google however has created some assumptions, such as your ability to just pick that you want your site to show up first on a given search. We promise to do our best in setting up the site so that it's content is most effective in being "crawled" by the Googlebots (Yahoobots, Bingbots, etc.). However, please understand that nobody but Google controls anything about Google. They make their money with paid advertising, so if the system were too easy to manipulate, it defeats their own business model.
We are more than happy to host your site and/or database for you. We use an industry elite hosting provider and will discuss with you what your site's technical needs may be. Our hosting charges will be modest and include setup time and an hour of emergency maintenance per month.

Typically we tell clients that a 48 hour window is realistic for most issues and needs. And many times it happens inside of that. It all depends on the scale of the task at hand. If you have yourself an emergency and it's got to be done like now, then it can become our emergency at an expedited rate outside of our normal hours of operation to get you there faster.
We are happy to accept payments by check at this time. If credit card processing or electronic payments are requested with frequency, we will be happy to explore those options as well.
